God’s Plan of Salvation
Dear Friend,
I want to ask you the most important question of your life.
Here’s the question: Are you saved?
This isn’t about being a good person or attending church or if you've been baptised or grew up in a christian family or something like that. The real question is: Do you know for sure that you’ll go to Heaven when you die?
God tells us that to enter Heaven, we must be born again.
“Do not be amazed that I told you that you must be born again.” —John 3:7
The Bible clearly explains how to be born again. It’s not complicated—God’s plan of salvation is simple.
Understand that You Are a Sinner
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” —Romans 3:23
Everyone has sinned. Sin is a crime against God, the King of Kings. No one meets God’s standard of holiness. Because of that sin, there are consequences. Because God is a perfect judge, He cannot let crimes go without justice being satisfied.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” —Romans 6:23
This death isn’t just physical—it includes eternal separation from God.
“And just as it is appointed for people to die once—and after this, judgment…” —Hebrews 9:27
Know That God Loves You
God loves you so much that He sent Jesus—His only Son—to take the punishment for your sin, your crime against the King of Kings.
“He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” —2 Corinthians 5:21
Jesus died and shed His blood on the cross so we could be forgiven.
“For the life of a creature is in the blood, and I have appointed it to you to satisfy justice on the altar for your lives, since it is the lifeblood that satisfies justice.” —Leviticus 17:11
“According to the law almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.” —Hebrews 9:22
“But God proves his own love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5:8
Repent and Believe
Even if we don’t fully understand how it works, God says Jesus took all our sins upon Himself and died in our place. We must respond by repenting.
“Therefore, having overlooked the times of ignorance, God now commands all people everywhere to repent.” —Acts 17:30
Repentance is changing your mind; It is a change of mind towards how we run from God, how we naturally hate Him and don’t want Him. It’s a change that now agrees with God that you are a sinner, a criminal against Him, and that you trust only in what Jesus did on the cross was for you.
In Acts, a jailer asked Paul and Silas what he needed to do to be saved.
“They said, ‘Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.’” —Acts 16:31
You must believe that Jesus died for you, was buried, and rose again. His resurrection is proof that eternal life is real and available.
“But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name.” —John 1:12
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” —Romans 10:13
“Everyone” includes you. “Will be saved” means it’s a promise—not maybe, but certain.
Call out to God for mercy.
If you believe this message, you can receive Jesus right now by calling out to God in prayer (prayer is simply speaking to God)—like the sinner in Luke 18:
“But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even raise his eyes to heaven but kept striking his chest and saying, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner!’” —Luke 18:13
You can pray a simple prayer like this:
“Father in Heaven, I know I’m a sinner. I believe Jesus lived the perfect, spotless life that I should have lived but I didn’t. That I deserve to die for my crimes against you but out of love Jesus died for me. I trust you that He rose again because you, Father, proved that He is the truth. I trust Him now as my Lord and Saviour. I trust in His life, death, burial, and resurrection for the forgiveness of my sins. Thank you that your word says You will not go back on your promise to those you truly call out to you. Thank You for saving me and giving me eternal life. Amen.”
God keeps His promises. Trust Him—not your feelings. Feelings change, but God’s Word never changes.
What Happens Next?
Now that you've been saved from the penalty of your sins, your crimes against God, God has adopted you in His Family! You are His child. Your whole life will now be one of seeing how deep His love goes. And in response to His love, from the fullness of His love, you are now invited and called to grow deeper in your love for Him. Here are some things you need to grow in your new life in Christ. Here are five important steps:
1. Be baptised – Baptism does NOT save - Only Jesus saves! Instead it is a picture of the Gospel; a picture of what Jesus has done for you! It's a picture that you have been united to Jesus, in His Death and resurrection - it is to show your trust in Him publicly and to celebrate God’s love and faithfulness.
2. Join a Bible-teaching church – stay connected with other believers.
3. Pray regularly – talk with God daily.
4. Read your Bible – Let God speak to you through the Bible and learn more about how deep His love for you goes.
5. Tell others – share the good news of Jesus’ love to save sinners, criminals, like you and me and what Jesus has done for us.
“So don’t be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord…” —2 Timothy 1:8
“Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge me before others, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.” —Matthew 10:32
If this isn’t clear yet, please read it again. Eternity is at stake.
“For what does it benefit someone to gain the whole world and yet lose his own soul?” —Mark 8:36
